Lancaster Contact Lens specializes in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, Terrions disease, and other anatomical distortions of the cornea, for whatever reason.

There are many reason for compromised corneas. Reasons include refractive surgery, corneal transplant, traumatic injuries to the eye, herpes of the eye, congenital defects to the eye, and congenital deformities. These situations require expert fittings of custom-designed and -manufactured contact lenses. Lancaster Contact Lens has years of experience in successfully fitting the most challenging corneas.

The above referenced diseases cause disruption to the patient’s visual axis (center eye). The front part of the eye, called the cornea, is responsible for two thirds of a patient’s vision. The remaining one-third of the vision comes from the crystalline lens within the eye.
